Lisa Papademetriou, Author of Siren's Storm

Lisa Papademetriou Biography

In her next life, Lisa Papademetriou will be fashion-forward, tall, incredibly organized, graceful, athletic, able to play the piano, and beloved by all. In her currently life, unfortunately, she has the tendency to spill things on herself.

As a child, Lisa used to sit in her room drawing maps of imaginary countries. One of her favorite countries was inhabited by Ookies, creatures who later made an appearance in her novel, The Wizard, the Witch, and Two Girls from Jersey. Lisa has always been an avid fantasy reader, and dreamed of writing high fantasy when she “grew up.” Her favorite authors were C.S. Lewis, Ursula Le Guin, Madeline L’Engle, and J.R.R. Tolkein. She hoped to write just like them, and to make public appearances in a cape.

Most of her novel ideas, however, were not fantasy-related...until now. The release of Siren’s Storm--a contemporary paranormal mystery--clearly indicates that Lisa has achieved her lifelong dream and must now get to work sewing a cape for herself. However, she is currently hard at work on a sequel to Siren’s Storm, so the sewing machine will have to wait.

Lisa lives in Florence, Massachusetts, and has never really gotten over the fact that the Chamber of Commerce no longer holds the annual Chicken Parade, which seemed like the epitome of small town life. She lives with her husband and daughter, and whichever of her relatives happens to be visiting.
